Michael P. Laffey brings more than twenty years of litigation experience to LaBletta & Walters LLC. Throughout his career, he has successfully represented insurance carriers, municipalities, law enforcement officers, and private businesses in complex civil litigation matters in both state and federal courts.

Mike earned his Juris Doctor from the Dickinson School of Law of The Pennsylvania State University in 2002. While in law school, he served as a Faculty Research Assistant, earned a Certificate in Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution, and was selected to participate in the school's prestigious Appellate Moot Court program.

Mike began his legal career as a prosecutor with the York County District Attorney’s Office, where he gained extensive courtroom and trial experience handling criminal matters from preliminary hearings through trial. He later transitioned to civil litigation, developing a broad defense practice focused on representing insurers, governmental entities, and private-sector clients in a wide range of disputes.

Over the course of his career, Mike has defended clients in matters involving breach of contract, personal injury, employment discrimination, civil rights claims, municipal liability, professional liability, and other complex tort and commercial litigation. His extensive trial and courtroom experience, combined with his practical and strategic approach to litigation, enables him to effectively guide clients through all phases of the litigation process, from initial case evaluation through trial and appeal.

Mike is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania.
