Courtney E. Dowd
Courtney E. Dowd is a seasoned trial attorney with nearly two decades of dedicated experience in complex insurance defense and coverage litigation. Her experience is concentrated on defending insurance companies, self-insured corporations, and individual insureds in high-stakes litigation.
Over her career, Ms. Dowd has as developed an extensive record of courtroom successworking both in private practice and as in-house staff counsel for major insurance providers. This dual perspective allows her to deliver highly strategic, cost-effective defense counsel tailored to each client's unique litigation goals. Her extensive litigation background spans property damage, bodily injury claims, construction defects, toxic-tort liability, employment law, premise liability, and insurance coverage disputes.
Courtney is a member of the New Jersey Defense Association.
Ms. Dowd attended Roger Williams University School of Law and Niagara University for her Bachelor’s degree while playing Division 1 lacrosse.
When she is not in the courtroom, Courtney is a dedicated sports mom and community leader. A former Division 1 athlete, she channels her passion for sports into coaching and attending her three children’s various athletic events across New Jersey's youth sports fields.
