Mr. Madden has extensive experience as a trial lawyer, who has solely represented insurance companies and their insureds during his career. After graduating Villanova Law School, Mr. Madden worked for Travelers Insurance as a Senior Trial Lawyer for ten years. At Travelers, Mr. Madden handled high exposure cases involving general liability matters and construction claims. Mr. Madden was responsible for all aspects of defending lawsuits, from the initial phases of discovery through trial. During his time at Travelers, Mr. Madden tried numerous cases to verdict as lead counsel.
After working at Travelers, Mr. Madden worked at an insurance defense firm for several years. During this time, Mr. Madden represented insurance carriers throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. A significant part of Mr. Madden’s practice involved defending insurers on bad faith and extra-contractual claims in federal court. Mr. Madden was also involved in complex coverage cases, which involved issuing coverage opinions as well as initiating declaratory judgment actions.
Mr. Madden has extensive trial experience in both state and federal court. In 2020, Mr. Madden had the honor of litigating before the Supreme Court of the United States.
Presently, Mr. Madden is a manager for a national commercial real estate firm. In this position, he assists both tenants and buyers with their commercial real estate needs, including the negotiation of lease terms and the purchase price of properties.
Mr. Madden is Of Counsel at LaBletta & Walters. In this capacity, Mr. Madden assists and advises the firm and its clients on litigation matters. Mr. Madden also continues to personally litigate matters in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Mr. Madden is an avid and accomplished runner. He has completed several marathons, including the Boston Marathon, and has qualified for the Boston Marathon every year from 2014 to present.
